Itinerary: Bodrum - North Dodecanese Islands
1. Day: Boarding starts at 15:30 from Bodrum Harbour, after custom formalities Then cruise start to Kos island around 16:00. Or maybe you want stay in Bodrum harbour for overnight. if you arrive early to bodrum we can keep your luggage on your boat or in our office. Your gulet be ready at 15:30, you can visit bodrum castle, myndos gate, antique theatre, mauseloum, windmills and underwater museum by walk. Or you can go to closest beaches of bodrum like Gumusluk, Yalikavak, Bitez or Turkbuku.
2. Day: Kos Island Asclepion, known to be the birth place of Hippocrates, 'the Father of Medical Sciences', is located here. All the East - Mediterranean people with health problems were treated in Kos island.
Kos; the second largest island of the 12 islands (Dodecanese islands) has a very mild climate and very fertile lands. The island houses a 560-year-old tree, a 211-year-old fountain and a 290 km long beach. You can go for swim to Lambi Beach or Tigaki Beach, which is very close to Kos Harbour. Nature lovers have to visit Zia mountain village for nice sunset and local foods - drinks. You must visit ancient ruins of the city, Kos Castle, Hippocrates tree. You can rent a bike and cycling around town. Kos is one of the islands with the best night life of Dodecanese Islands. Nafklirou, a street full of bars, is always crowded, colourful, and full of nightlife. After your dinner you can leave from your gulet and visit bars and tavernas of Kos island.
3. Day: We will cruise to the beautiful island of Leros. Last a few years Leros island is very famous for Cruisers and many gulets and yachts stopping on this island. Leros is a mountainous, green island with high cliffs and many small bays and villages. You can visit nice beaches and villages in Leros island. After a swimming break in Xirokampos, we will anchor at Lakki Harbour or Agia Marina Port located in east. You should visit Platanos the main city of Leros with steep stairs, narrow streets, and flower gardens. From Platanos you can take the steps leading up the Castle of Leros climbing 300 steps! Rent a bike or explore this island by foot. According to mythology, Leros island was where goddess Artemis would go for hunting, as it had a rich population in deer. The long history of Leros Greece is depicted in the many sights around the island, such as the Medieval Castle and the interesting museums.
4. Day: we will cruise to Patmos Island early in the morning. We will have a swimming stop in a bay around the island. Patmos is not a big island, but it is one of the best known of Dodecanese island. It was here St. John had his vision and wrote the apocalypse, this mysterious book of Christianity. and this is why Patmos is sometimes called "The Jerusalem of the Aegean". The Monastery of St. Johns towers above the capital, a village called Chora, and the whole island breathes of faith and devotion. According to mythology, Patmos was a present from Zeus to his daughter Artemis, goddess of hunting and young women. She was worshipped here in antiquity, and the monastery of St. John was built on her temple. After breakfast we may have a walk through the monasteries. The Monastery of Saint John and the Cave of Apocalypse are the most important sights in Patmos Greece. Thousands of pilgrims come to Patmos every year to visit these two religious monuments that are so connected to this island with the spiritual vibes. Our gulet yacht will stay overnight in Patmos Port.
5. Day: After your breakfast our gulet cruise to Lipsi Island. We have a swimming stop in one of the many small islands in front of Lipsi island. On Lipsi Island there are beautiful sandy beaches, like Platis Giolos with its crystal green waters. On the small natural port is the capital, with its white houses and its beautiful square, where you can find numerous local tavernas, cafeterias, bars and restaurants. On the island the church of the Catopanaghia constructed the on 770 year deserves a visit, along with the church of Panaghia from 1500 year.
6. Day: We will take a swimming stop in a beautiful bay around the Kalymnos Island. We are going to enter Pothia Harbour which is the capital. The islander ensured their lively hood with sponge diving for centuries. There are nice beaches such as Massouri, Mirties and Vlyhadia around the Island. This place distinguishes for the picturesque architecture, the long tradition in sponge diving and the impressive rocks ideal for climbing. In fact, over the last years, rock climbing has largely developed on the island and even a climbing festival takes place there in autumn. Overnight stay in Kalymnos island.
7. Day: We will return to Turkey through Turgutreis Port, after the passport control We will have a swimming stop at Karaincir bay and Aquarium bay on the way back to Bodrum. We will be staying in nearest bay Aquarium or Bodrum Harbour for dinner and your final night.
8. Day: we will leave the boat with precious memories by 10:00 after breakfast.
